- CER: Commons Economy Roadmap, the acronym we use to promote this project.
- CoFi: [tag] Collaborative Finance, a concept that focuses on building payment infrastructures with positive externalities for communities, aiming to improve sustainability and reduce systemic risks in economies. Read more about CoFi here.
- Economic Infrastructure: [tag], related to the Featured Projects. The main focus of the project in question is enabling and/or mediating economic activity. Cryptocurrencies, payment tools, marketplaces and production protocols belong to this category.
- Expertise & Know-how: [tag], related to the Featured Projects. The main focus of the project in question is providing expert knowledge. These organizations do consulting and/or research related to the infrastructure projects and usually consist of small groups of highly qualified individuals
- Featured Projects: the projects selected by CER in each Iteration.
- InFi, or iFi: [tag] a new market segment that applies the principles and mechanics of distributed systems to the funding and ownership of infrastructure. In this post, we share some initial thoughts about what iFi is, what its precedents are, and what it means for the future of infrastructure. Read more about InFi here.
- InfoTech Infrastructure: [tag], related to the Featured Projects. The main focus of the project in question is providing information technology. Software and hardware for communication and coordination, as well as applications and protocols in the technological background of organizations are examples of this.
- Iteration: CER’s operation cycle will be based around Iterations of varying length.
- IT1: the first Iteration will go from January 2024 to July 2024
- Knowledge Base: it’s the whole sum of CER’s collected knowledge on the Featured Projects.
- Knowledge Elements: the always increasing materials produced by the CER Team, our Research Partners or Third Parties. They contain everything that was gathered about the Featured Projects.
- KE/KEs: see Knowledge Elements.
- People of the Commons: our authors database. It allows looking up info about the creators behind the Knowledge Elements.
- Post-Blockchain: a shift from traditional blockchain technology to a more decentralized, resilient, and community-driven approach.
- Project Card: an in-depth, up-to-date dive into each project, in an easily accessible document.
- ReFi: [tag] Regenerative Finance, a novel financial paradigm that integrates the goals of financial returns with a positive impact on social and environmental aspects.
- Regenerative Agriculture: [tag] a farming and land management practice aimed at revitalizing degraded soil, increasing biodiversity, improving the water cycle, and enhancing ecosystem services.
